AND NOW...

FOR A TOTALY REAL INTERVIEW, (I.E. NOT FAKED) WITH CRAIG CHARLES, ROBERT LLEWELLYN AND CHRIS BARRIE,

OTHERWISE KNOWN AS LISTER, KRYTEN, AND RIMMER, FROM RED DWARF!!!

What a long, strange trip it's been. More than ten years, (yes TEN years, but only EIGHT series, how does that work then?) on and the crew of red dwarfare still making merry in the deepest outer space.

For craig charles (lister), Robert Llewellyn (kryten) and Chris Barrie (Rimmer), returning for series eight was like donning a comfortable old space suit.

When they first got together in the 80's, none of them thought the show would last this long - let alone be dubbed into Japanese and Spanish.

Chris, 38, says: "I thought it might get a bit of a following but now it's being sold all around the world."

Craig: "The first thing I said to chris, who was known for Spitting Image, was, 'Do your Ronnie Regan impression for me!' I thought Robert was just a nice middle class, sorry for being white bloke and he has lived up to all my expectations!"

Robert: "within days I was the butt of cruel humour so then I knew I was a part of it."

Red dwarf is often credited with making fans of viewers who nomally would avoid sci-fi, but it's stars love the genre.

Robert, 42 says: "Well, I liked Doctor Who and thought the Darleks were fantastic, but I had nightmares about them. I used to be a Darlek in the Playground

Chris: "I watched it until I realised that Darleks couldn't climb stairs. And I always wondered why the startrek crew wore those Wolves football shirts!"
